How the Clarity II laser works for ruby spots The Clarity II laser by Cynosure selectively targets hemoglobin present in angiomas (cherry spots), which are small, benign vascular lesions. The laser energy is absorbed by the blood within the angioma, heating and coagulating the vessel, which causes it to close. Once treated, the angioma temporarily darkens and is then naturally eliminated by the body, leaving the skin more even in appearance.
